Sizes are defined by how many checkers fit stacked on one point. Tournament and Championship fit 11; Competition and Travel fit 12. Championship uses oversized 50 mm checkers, so it needs more room per piece despite the lower count, while Travel boards are compact and use slightly smaller 4 cm checkers.
If you play in tournaments, Tournament size is the safe default. If you mostly play at home and want a more generous field, Competition is the more comfortable board. If you want a board that travels, choose Travel. See board sizes for full dimensions.
Frames are either MDF or solid beechwood, depending on the model, and every one is built by hand. Checkers are polyester, resin or chrome-plated metal depending on the set. Playing surfaces use an Öko-Tex certified synthetic cloth, and our leather is phthalate-free.
We ship worldwide from our Istanbul workshop with FedEx and UPS. Shipping is a flat 100 € on every order, catalogue or bespoke, to most countries for a parcel up to 7 kg. For remote destinations we confirm the cost before you order.
Customs duties, import taxes and any other charge raised by the destination country are the buyer’s responsibility. They are not included in the board price or the shipping charge.
Boards we hold in stock are dispatched the same day when the order arrives during working hours (09:00–18:00, UTC+3), and on the next business day otherwise. Bespoke boards are made to order — allow ten business days before dispatch.
The playing surface carries a five-year warranty against spillage, peeling, colour fading, light fading and abrasion. Wooden frames carry a lifetime warranty on the corner joints.
You have 14 days from delivery to withdraw from a catalogue order. Tell us by phone or email, then send the board back unused and in its original packaging with FedEx or UPS, and we refund the purchase price.
Return carriage is yours unless the board arrived faulty or damaged — in that case we cover the carriage and either replace the board or refund it in full.
Two exceptions: bespoke boards are built to your specification and cannot be returned, and we cannot accept returns on orders shipped outside Türkiye.
The cloth is easy to clean — tea and coffee wipe off the surface. The synthetic leather takes standard leather-look care: wipe it down with a soft damp cloth and a little mild soap, then let it dry naturally. Keep solvents, alcohol, bleach and abrasive cleaners away from it. Store the board closed and dry, out of prolonged direct sunlight and away from radiators.
Every board is made by hand in our own Istanbul workshop rather than assembled from bought-in parts. We use phthalate-free leather and Öko-Tex certified surface cloth, so nothing in the board is releasing toxins into the room it sits in. And if none of our standard boards is quite right, we will build one to your specification for the price of the board itself.
